Zoom has settled a Class Action lawsuit in the US by paying $86m, the lawsuit was for multiple counts of privacy accusations where Zoom had allegedly invaded the privacy of millions of users by sharing personal data with other companies.
This isn't the first time for the company to come under fire for their privacy policy as, back in 2019, they were sued by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) for misleading users since 2016 that Zoom was end-to-end encrypted, when in fact this was not the case.
Zoom has apologized for any wrongdoing and will update their security policy.
