OnlyFans gets rid of explicit content
OnlyFans is a subscription service for content creators founded by Tim Stokely of Fenix International Limited in November 2016.
During the 2020/21 COVID Pandemic OnlyFans became a big platform for Sex Workers and pornography but is also a platform for content such as fitness, cooking, music etc.
OnlyFans have announced that, as of October 1st 2021, it will block sexually explicit content such as photos and videos from the platform, however people will still be able to post some nude photos if it follows OnlyFans Policies.
The move comes following pressures from their banking partners. The site, who has 130 million users, had the following to say about the situation:
"In order to ensure the long-term sustainability of our platform, and continue to host an inclusive community of creators and fans, we must evolve our content guidelines,
